Brazil 2005

Here are pictures from our trip to Brazil in 2005 where in twelve days, Ahsan gave a lecture at PUCRS, we saw Gui's graduation and tried to absorb his amazing country. Gui was great at laying out an itinerary that gave Linda plenty of time to rest and lay around including going to his Aunts beach house. We spent the first few days in Porto Alegre which all revolved around work, and then spent a few days in Rio before heading out to Buzios where the beach house is. It is a far better place than even Gui raves about.

  • One of the shopping malls we stopped in for food. They had a hypermart in there which sold everything from chicken to lawn mowers.
  • The meat shelf in the Hypermart was amazing. They had a quadzillion cuts of beef and at amazing prices. Ahuge tenderlion was $10. The brazilians love their beef!
  • This place was well stocked.
