All photography credit to Alexa, although I did a bunch of cropping and post processing!

  • Davis and Campbell. Campbell has a great relaxed back at the finish. He needs work on his reach which is short because he is not sitting on the seat correctly. Davis has improved tremendously in his preparation.

  • Henry and Jack. Henry has a great stroke and is a great one to see for his ratio and drive. Notice the agressive jump with the legs, a nice long reach andgood preparation. Jack has to get better preparation and reduce his recovery speed coming into the catch. This will allow him to jump better. I like that his inside arm is relaxed.

  • Seb and Zack. Seb is getting very good preparation. He tends to start the drive with his back instead of his legs and has a stiff back at the finish. But he has the makings of a great stroke in him. Zack has improved tremendously and if he keeps going at this pace he will be a different rower in a month. In these frames Zack is getting good reach and his drive (where he usually emphasizes lifting the back is more horizontal) I do need him to be much more relaxed at the finish with the lower back...like Henry or Campbell.

  • Two little recognized rowers who have been fireballs in the bow. Chase and Sam. Both rowing with great preparation. Sam's drive can be a little faster and he is rigged a little high. He is also pulling with his arms early in the stroke which is not effective. Chase with great length uses his long legs effectively and hangs on his oar very well.

  • Arman and Greg. Very nice preparation with both. I think both can get a little bit more compression with the seat. Both are tensing their shoulders on the drive. All in all the quad moved extremely well with great ratio.

  • Max and Sean. Both rowing extremely well. Max is the king of slide control and set a great pace in the quad with a super slow recovery and a great drive. His preperation is excellent. Sean is mirroring Max very well. He can speed up his leg drive since you can see the difference on most strokes.I like how Sean keeps his shoulders relaxed throughout the stroke. Compare that to the bow pair who tend to break their arms early and pull their shoulders up on the drive.
