Youth Regatta
They call it the most laid back regatta in the US. No stake boats, no bouy lines. Aisha started the day with a race in her Junior B single event in which she qualified. Then the girls had to hustle for the double. The start line is 3 miles away and by the time they got there, they were too tuckered and the double race was a poor showing. Then Kiran rowed a good race in her single and missed a medal by a few lengths. Her technique is much better. Aisha was pretty tired by now but tried her best. She certainly scared off another girl who had made finals but chose not to race in the massive head wind and choppy waters. The last race was the eight where Aisha and Kiran wore the blue and white unisuits for Fairmount. None of them had rowed together before so it was mostly for fun...which they certainly had.
