San Diego

Family and Friends congregated from three continents at my sister's best friends house. Sabiha lives in San Diego with her son Imad. My sister Saadia, her two kids Dany and Zaby and their friend Scott came from the UK. My cousin Samar and her daugter Jumanah came from Pakistan, and my friend Matthew from Iowa. The unforseen event was Imad having to go to the hospital for surgery for a collapsed lung where he is still recovering. Lets see if his operation has fixed everything.

  • We get ready for sea kayaking. I couldn't take my camera since we were likely to get wet. It was a great little tour of the sea caves by La Jolla and we managed to go into some of the caves and turn around and paddle out.

  • The Hotel del Coronado is a fixture of San Diego. It was built in 1888. One of the last remaining resorts built using the stick style. Most of the other resorts built in a similar way have burnt down to the ground over the years.
