The Onaqui Wild Mustangs

We found two groups of the Onaqui Mustang herd wandering the hills on either side of the Pny Express Trail about 2 hours from Salt Lake City. It wassuch an impressive sight to see them up close. We walked up to one herd keeping a 50 meter distance and sat on the ground watching and photographing them. They did not take much notice but by the time we left some of them were no more than 25 meters away. We then drove on to the Pony Express Station at Simpson Springs and turned around.
