At the Trail Head of Neffs Canyon
Break in the action to put on bug spray and in Shadows case take a nap.
Steady uphill. In the winter this trail is a favourite for sledding with little kids coming barelling down.
We started at 5400 feet and ended up at 7800
The incline startes to get steeper.
Shadow was so happy to cool down. He really enjoyed scampering around with a tail that would not stop wagging.
Anisa carrying the all important Lunch.
The trail got very overgrown and narrow. Anisa had woken up an hour earlier than us and gone for a 4 mile run...paying the price right about now!
Up at the meadow at 7900 feet
We find a shady spot for a picnic.
Our picnic view
I find a great tree to lean on...it was a coveted piece of real estate.
My spot was stolen. Shadow tryng to stay in the shade.
Anisa tries a huge juicy plum.
Cue the Sound of Music!
The overgrown path was tougher on the way back because it was steep and gravelly.
We see Salt Lake through a clearing.
A good view of the lake and the city.
Our waterfall stop which of course Shadow was already immersed in when we got there.
