Alexander Basin Hike
We hiked up to Alexander's Basin. The hike starts at 7000 feet at the end of Mill Creek Canyon behind our house, a 15 minute drive. The trail goes up steeply in the beginning and then gets less steep. It opens up on the side of the mountain with great views and finally up to Alexanders Basin. There were many times we could smell large animals but could not spot them . When we finally stopped we found our tell-tale fossil rock layer which made Linda quite excited. This was the second time we have found that seam on our own. We stopped at the end to grab a bite . Very fun.
